◇ Oval Returns With New EP and Album - Pitchfork
Oval, aka glitch master Markus Popp, hasn't released a new album in nearly a decade, but Popp plans to release a ton of Oval music in the next few months. First, we'll get a 15-track EP called Oh; it arrives June 15 via Thrill Jockey. And after that, there's a new 70-track double album called (confusingly) O. It's tentatively slated for an early September release on Thrill Jockey. That pinging, ambient track that you can download/stream above comes from the album.
O will come in four different covers. The LP version will include the music from the first CD spread out over the double LP's first three sides, along with six vinyl-only bonus tracks on the fourth. It also comes with a download of all of the music on both discs of the CD.
We've got cover art and CD tracklists for both Oh and O below.
