He was also an amateur street photographer,[6] beginning in his student days, and near the age of 70 he put on an exhibition in Oslo of the photographs of celebrities, including one of Henrik Ibsen strolling down Karl Johansgate, the main road in Oslo, that he had taken over the years.[1] He was also a supervisory council member of the insurance company Forsikringsselskapet Norden.[7]
