On September 24, 2015, the Institute of Contemporary Art presented the inaugural program for ICA Speaks, featuring a talk by world-renowned photographer Roe Ethridge. Over the last decade, Ethridge has radically altered the relationship between fashion and fine art photography. His work has been featured in the Whitney and Lyons Biennials, and is in permanent collections of leading museums worldwide. For his talk, Ethridge discussed the role of women and gender in his work.ICA Speaks is focused on promoting the exchange of art and ideas. For the inaugural season, ICA Speaks features artists from the museum’s permanent collection, and highlights the strength of our holdings through original scholarship.
